Editorial standards

Accuracy and sourcing

• We distinguish confirmed information (on the record from a company, a filing, an official channel) from reported or rumoured information, and we label which is which.
• We link to primary sources wherever one exists.
• We do not present a single unverified social-media post as fact. Where a claim is circulating widely, we say so, say what is actually established, and say what is not.

Leaks and unreleased material

We cover leaks when they are already public and newsworthy, and we focus on what they mean rather than amplifying every frame. We do not host or link directly to stolen assets, pre-release builds, or personal data.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we correct the article and note what changed. Significant corrections are dated at the point of the change. To report an error, email corrections@gto6.com.

Independence and funding

GTO6 is free to read and funded entirely by advertising. We do not run sponsored posts, paid reviews, or affiliate-driven coverage.

• Advertising is served programmatically and is clearly labelled as advertising.
• Advertisers get no say over editorial content, and we do not show advertisers coverage before it publishes.
• No reviewer keeps review hardware; loaned units are returned or disclosed.

Reviews

Scores reflect the reviewer's assessment at the time of writing, against comparable products. We state the platform tested and how long we spent with a product. We update a review if a later patch materially changes the experience.

Use of AI

Articles are written and edited by people. We may use AI tools for research assistance, transcription, or code in interactive features; we do not publish AI-generated article text as staff writing, and AI is never the sole source for a factual claim.

Anonymous sources

We grant anonymity only when a source faces a real risk for speaking and the information is in the public interest. An editor knows the identity of every anonymous source we use.
